MEMORABLE GOLF MOMENTS AT SUGARMILL WOODS
We have two ladies that have worked on their games very hard this year and they both broke 100. The first lady to break 100 did it in a big way. Carol Boyd had her lowest score ever on April 7th, while she was playing Pine/Oak. She shot a 92. Congratulations and keep it going. The second lady to break 100 was Peg Murphy. She also did this fete on Pine/Oak. What a consistent golfer. She shot a 49/49. This is only the beginning of her breaking 100 many, many more times. How many times have you heard people say that they wish they could shoot their age? Well, one of our members, Jim Melia, actually shot 1 stroke under his age. He had a great 75. Good Job! We had a two day ladies tournament starting on May 2nd, The Emerald. One of the ladies had a Hole-in-One on Oak #6. She is a member of Southern Woods and her name is Val Mahoney. We are all happy for her to do this during such a big ladies tournament. However, Sugarmill Woods is not without it's own Hole-in-One maker. Walter Moulton had an ace on Pine #7. He used a 7 wood for the 180 yard hole on May 28th. I believe this was his 8th Hole-in-One. Does this man hit a straight ball? You Bet!
